Six lives. Six thresholds. The long shadow of memory.
In these stories, people stand at the edge of transformation: an old man mourning the love of his life, a woman caught between memory and oblivion, a recent widow shaped by poverty and social prejudice, a child confronting the bewildering world of adults, and others marked by longing, sacrifice, cruelty, and hope.
The bookshelf
Fiction rooted in atmosphere, human contradictions, and the lives we carry after the moment has passed.
The things we remember are not always the things that happened. Sometimes memory is simply the story that refused to leave.
